On January 18, 2024, the first joint workshop between StadtManufaktur Berlin and the B!NErLE<\/a> department\u2014Education for Sustainable Nutrition and Food Science\u2014took place.<\/p>\n

This marks the official launch of the joint project REALLABOR ESSBARER CAMPUS!<\/strong><\/p>\n

In addition to keynote presentations on topics related to urban farming\u2014and in particular, building-integrated lightweight agriculture using aquaponics and hydroponics\u2014participants discussed topics related to circular and edible urban and campus design. A hydroponic planting table was set up for the pre-cultivation of young plants such as herbs, chili peppers, Swiss chard, and lettuce. These will soon be grown in hydroponic planting towers. The first HydroTower<\/a>\u2014a TU Berlin startup and spin-off of the GartenLeistungen<\/a> research project, in collaboration with the Mobile Blue-Green Infrastructure Real-World Lab<\/a> and the Roof Water-Farm<\/a> Real-World Lab\u2014is already set up in the teaching kitchen at FG B!NErLE.<\/p>\n

We\u2019ll also be heading to the TU Berlin campus soon. Stay tuned :)!<\/p>\n
