Water | Art | Climate \u2013 Futures on Campus<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>
At the Charlottenburg Campus, climate protection and climate adaptation play an important role in a wide range of projects and real-world laboratories. In the future, rainwater will be channeled off rooftops and stored in cisterns made from sustainable materials; facades will be greened; and spaces for local food production will be created. All of this serves to integrate rainwater into a natural cycle and cool the city. This is being achieved, among other ways, through an interdisciplinary art project that transforms the natural and structural requirements of rainwater management into architectural art.<\/p>\n
At the planned event \u201cWater | Art | Climate<\/strong>\u201d measures and strategies for rainwater management and climate adaptation will be presented, which are being implemented on campus as part of a real-world laboratory initiative. These include green facades and roofs, evaporation beds, vertical farms, and a digital scenario tool, and attendees will have the opportunity to harvest and eat together. In the afternoon, the exhibition \u201cRainwater Art in Architecture\u201d<\/strong> will offer insights into the deliberate integration of natural, technical, design, and artistic perspectives on rainwater cycles and climate protection\/adaptation. During a guided tour of the exhibition, visitors and participants can engage in discussions about the everyday and local dimensions of climate and architectural change.
