We will be showcasing our climate adaptation projects\u2014ClimateHOOD<\/a>, GartenLeistungen<\/a>, ROOF WATER-FARM<\/a>, and the startup HydroTower<\/a>\u2014at Green Week 2025<\/a>. On January 17 and 21, these initiatives will be featured at the booth of the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Nuclear Safety, and Consumer Protection (BMUV)<\/a> with exhibits and a stage program.<\/p>\n

The ClimateHOOD<\/a> real-world laboratory, a joint project of TU-StadtManufaktur and the Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf District Office, has been implementing climate adaptation and natural climate protection measures since 2022. By 2026, the TU campus will feature green facades, cisterns, retention areas, and spaces for local food production. The goal is to use rainwater sustainably and cool the urban environment. In addition, the project provides information on climate change and climate protection and promotes the transfer of knowledge between the university and the urban community. The project is funded by the Federal Ministry of Housing, Urban Development, and Construction\u2019s program \u201cAdaptation of Urban Spaces to Climate Change<\/a>.\u201d At Green Week, the \u201cClimateTOOL\u201d\u2014a web-based tool for planning climate adaptation measures\u2014will be presented to a broad audience for the first time. Developed in collaboration with FormFollowsYou GmbH and departments at the Technical University, it has already been successfully tested in workshops with specialized departments and climate managers in the Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf district.<\/p>\n
