The StadtManufaktur Berlin
StadtManufaktur Berlin is the platform for real-world labs and a collaboration initiative of the Technical University of Berlin. It facilitates connections between researchers and partners from the fields of politics, business, culture, and civil society. In the transdisciplinary projects and real-world labs of TU-StadtManufaktur, stakeholders from academia and the city work together on forward-looking solutions, prototypes, and alliances for Berlin. The focus is on issues related to climate adaptation in urban design and the promotion of social collaboration, as well as on establishing sustainable mobility concepts and the transformation toward a Circular City. StadtManufaktur supports the organization (development, documentation, and evaluation) of real-world lab work and sustainability real-world labs in the context of urban transformation.
StadtManufaktur operates as a transfer institution, a collaborative initiative, and a hub for transdisciplinary cooperation within the Science & Society (ScSo) Office and the Environmental Protection and Safety Services (SDU) Office of the TU Berlin Executive Board. StadtManufaktur’s real-world laboratory work and strategic projects support the sustainable transformation of the Charlottenburg Campus.
StadtManufaktur Berlin is a member of the Network of Real-World Laboratories for Sustainability. https://www.reallabor-netzwerk.de/
