Berlin Community Garden Programme
The Berlin Community Garden Programme, commissioned by the Senate Department for the Environment, Transport and Climate Protection (SenUVK), is managed by bgmr landscape architects and mees architecture.
The development of the programme will start on 3 March 2021 and will be developed together with Berlin’s community gardeners and other interested parties.
The aim is to focus on, recognise and promote the diversity of the approximately 200 community gardens in Berlin.
As a result, the Berlin Community Garden Programme is to be developed as a coordinated programme between various participants. On the one hand, this community garden programme should support the existing community gardens and work out possible funding, and on the other hand, it should also activate potential areas for new community gardens. In addition to fundamental questions, the programme will also propose concrete measures for implementation.
