After a successful pilot phase in 2021, the Berlin Project Fund Urban Practice is again funding artistic projects with 1.2 million euros this year. Berlin’s character is shaped by the influence of the different people who live here. The publicly accessible spaces in particular have been and continue to be (re)used by cultural workers and artists as places of encounter and action. The city itself is thus part of artistic and political work and negotiation processes. Public space is always a place of culture and art! In times of increasing commercialisation of space and rising rents, opportunities for active co-design of one’s own living space are more important than ever. Not least the Corona pandemic has made this clear once again. The next call for proposals starts on 12 December 2022 and ends on 15 January 2023. Detailed information is available HERE.
