Parks, allotment gardens, and community gardens are essential for sustainable urban development, but they compete with other land uses for scarce space. How can their potential for climate resilience and quality of life be harnessed even more effectively? To highlight and strengthen these benefits, we cordially invite you to an exchange with experts from academia, government, politics, and civil society.

The focus is, on the one hand, on new environmental-economic findings regarding the value of urban gardens and parks for sustainable urban neighborhoods. On the other hand, it addresses the practical approaches tested in our real-world laboratories for closing water and material cycles and strengthening climate resilience in gardens and parks.

The event is part of the GartenLeistungen project, which is funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research and led by the IÖW. You can find more information here.

We would be delighted to welcome you. Register directly here (registration is still open!).

We look forward to your participation!
