Enact Climate Adaptation as a Joint Responsibility in the Basic Law!
StadtManufaktur Berlin is actively involved in the Alliance for Water-Conscious Urban Development, initiated and coordinated by the DWA – German Association for Water, Wastewater, and Waste. The cross-institutional demand in the joint position paper reads: “Climate adaptation must be enshrined in the Basic Law as a joint responsibility under Article 91a,” demand members of the Alliance “Together for Water-Conscious Urban Development” in their latest position paper. “This would establish regulated and coordinated cooperation between the federal government, the states, and local authorities and ensure the necessary funding.”
