Transform:Math Building!

University buildings, research infrastructures, and institute buildings in Germany are suffering from a long-standing backlog of maintenance and repairs, leading to poor structural conditions, high energy consumption, and rising operating costs. The gap between the goal of sustainable, climate-neutral buildings for universities and research institutions and the reality is growing ever wider. Therefore, a comprehensive paradigm shift in how we manage our valuable building stock must be initiated.

Against this backdrop, the Natural Building Lab research group at the Institute of Architecture, co-directed by Selina Schlez, is launching and coordinating the “Transfor:Mathe” real-world laboratory and invites you to a networking event.

Date: November 18, 2025, 1:00–2:30 p.m.
Location: TU Berlin, Straße des 17. Juni 136, 10587 Berlin, foyer of the Mathematics Building

The event is open to students, researchers, faculty, and staff at TU Berlin, as well as the interested public. Members of the media are cordially invited.
