Invitation to the DWA Conference on Water-Conscious Urban Development on September 28–29, 2023, in Osnabrück!

Climate change has serious consequences for cities and municipalities; comprehensive climate adaptation measures are needed urgently. The corresponding measures for water-conscious urban development are technically feasible, economically sound, and improve quality of life.

However, implementation remains a challenge in many places—and this is precisely where the Alliance for Water-Conscious Urban Development comes in: As part of a conference organized by the DWA, the Alliance aims to engage in dialogue with all stakeholders.

How can we work together to make cities climate-resilient? This question is at the heart of the event. The goal is to bring political decision-makers together with representatives from associations, academia, and the field to jointly develop perspectives for the successful planning and implementation of a water-conscious city of the future. Urban and regional planning, water management, transportation planning, and landscape architecture are just as essential as the perspectives of investors and those who aspire to become investors.

Only by working together can we successfully develop our cities to be climate-conscious and livable. Join us!
