Digital symposium: Challenge #Reallabor: Methods | Transferability | Impact. 18 February 2021, 9:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.

Conference of StadtManufaktur Berlin with Karlsruhe Transformation Centre (KIT) and Wuppertal Institute (WI).

The symposium will take place via Zoom digital. The number of participants is limited.

Transdisciplinary work in real labs and similar formats holds and unfolds diverse potentials for sustainability transformation. Reallaboratory work is often associated with a pioneering spirit, always with the joy of experimentation, curiosity as well as disciplinary and institutional border crossings. With a joint symposium, we would like to take up current discourses on reallaboratory work on the topics of a) transdisciplinary and transformative methods (development), b) possibilities and limits of transferability (especially in an international context) and c) impact of reallaboratories, to exchange ideas on these and to develop them further.

The event will take place digitally and is aimed at reallab actors from science and practice. The conference is intended as a prelude to a series of events organised by the Network Reallabs of Sustainability, which will focus on the theory and practice of reallabs in different ways. If you are interested in helping to organise further events in this series, you are cordially invited to attend.
