A place for exchange and experimentation: Under the title “Treffpunkt Bauwende,” the site of the Federal Foundation Bauakademie will be used as a space for experimental projects and public exchange until construction on the building begins—a place where the themes of the Bauwende can be experienced firsthand in Berlin-Mitte. On April 15, 2024, we harvested our MensaFarm at Cafáneo in the main library of TU Berlin and the Berlin University of the Arts (UdK) for the first time. The Department of Education for Sustainable Nutrition and Food Science and StadtManufaktur jointly operate the hydroponic vertical farm.
