The PopFarm—a mobile, modular, hydroponic vertical farm—is set up right in the middle of Ernst-Reuter-Platz this year. As part of the “Edible Campus” real-world laboratory, we’re operating the PopFarm together with the team from Bauhaus Reuse.

Ultra-local food production is an active form of climate protection, contributes to environmental education, and not only cools the microclimate of the open space but can even insulate buildings.

The harvest is used directly on site and further processed by our “Reallabor” partner, the Department of Education for Sustainable Nutrition and Food Sciences.

The PopFarm is part of ClimateHOOD.
