Groundbreaking ceremony for TULIUM!

Right in the heart of Berlin, a forward-looking hub for science and society is taking shape: TULIUM, the new transfer and exhibition building of the Technical University of Berlin.

The project is funded as part of the Joint Task “Improvement of the Regional Economic Structure” (GRW). TULIUM is intended to serve as an open space for experimentation, dialogue, and sustainable science communication. Here, not only will TU Berlin’s significant mineralogical collections be made accessible to the public, but current and socially relevant questions about the future will also be discussed.

The laying of the cornerstone on November 10, 2025, marks the start of an important construction phase for a building that will bring together science, the public, and societal discourse. Members of the media are cordially invited to attend the cornerstone-laying ceremony.

About TULIUM

TULIUM will be the new transfer and exhibition building at the Technical University of Berlin. A vibrant place that brings research to life. Here, open spaces are created for experimentation and dialogue, sustainable science communication, and encounters between research and society. At the heart of the building are the Technical University of Berlin’s significant mineralogical collections, which will be presented as a permanent exhibition.

About the TULIUM Building

Science thrives on exchange. Located not far from the TU Berlin main building, TULIUM offers space for exchange, collaboration, and discussion on issues that shape our future. The building will be constructed in a resource-efficient, modular, and open design, creating spaces for exhibitions on sustainability, technology, and society. The campus is to be reimagined as a green space for exchange and recreation, complete with a café. Interactive learning stations will guide visitors into the urban space.
