We are open! Visit us at the Kudamm! Part of the programme has already been prepared, and we look forward to your contributions and collaborations in the field of research, teaching and real-lab work on urban transformation.
In our joint statement, we put it this way: Urban spaces are constantly changing demographically, economically and ecologically, architecturally, culturally and in terms of society as a whole. The development of these spaces is the subject of discussion and struggle. With the aim of interpreting all these aspects and topics artistically and making them creatively tangible, the POP KUDAMM project opened its doors on 29 April 2022 and is creating a new temporary art and culture venue in Berlin’s City West, directly on the Kudamm. How do science and art interact here? What ideas and visions can be made tangible and experienced? What has already been researched but not yet built? What impulses can art, culture, science and architecture provide for the development of urban spaces?
Interested Berliners and visitors can engage with the pressing questions of urban future in exhibitions, panels, performances, pop-ups and events and participate in the public discourse on the development of our city and society.
POP KUDAMM is an initiative of SIGNA Real Estate in cooperation with partners from science, art, culture and architecture. These include the Stadtmanufaktur of TU Berlin, the Master’s programme Design & Computation of UdK Berlin and TU Berlin, the network PLATOON cultural development and plan A.
