StadtManufaktur Clima Day on May 11th 2023
On Thursday, May 11, 2023, we would like to invite you to the TU-StadtManufaktur Climate Day. From 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., we’d like to join you at BHROX bauhaus reuse to explore, experience, and discuss completed, ongoing, and upcoming projects, research, installations, activities, and routines related to climate protection and climate adaptation in urban and rural settings. On this day, the focus will be on questions and answers, materials and technologies, needs, and engagement in the context of climate protection and climate adaptation. What research and projects are currently underway? What prototypes and real-world laboratories are in development?
Architecture of Sustainable Growth
MY-CO PLACE is a transdisciplinary real-world laboratory led by Prof. Vera Meyer (TU Berlin) and Prof. Sven Pfeiffer (Bochum University of Applied Sciences). As part of StadtManufaktur Berlin, it brings together researchers, students, and partners from the fields of culture, civil society, business, and politics. Through lectures, workshops, seminars, and educational projects, participants will jointly discuss the potential and visions for a sustainably built environment and collaboratively develop solution scenarios for the Berlin-Brandenburg metropolitan region. The event kicks off on May 12, 2023, at 5 p.m. with the exhibition opening and a lecture at BHROX!
Blue-green climate modules for the city
The BMBF-funded joint project GartenLeistungen is entering its second phase. In 2020-2021, vertical hydroponic farms in combination with local water recycling for local food production were set up in Berlin-Mitte and Berlin-Wedding in the TU Real Lab Mobile Blue-Green Infrastructure. In the second phase, further prototypes will now be implemented and consolidated.
